Unified Service Desk 3.3 – Installing Unified Interface

With the release of USD 3.3 comes a new hosted control type, Unified Interface Page. This type of control is designed to support the Unified Client Interface (UCI), or Unified Interface, that can be built once to use “anywhere”.

To install the USD UI solution, first go to the Microsoft download site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56841

Click Download:

Select the PackageDeployer file and the 32 or 64 bit client for USD you will use:

Next, run the package deployer for USD 3.3. Note I am running this on a Dynamics 365 instance without USD already installed:

Sign In:

Select Unified Service Desk – Unified Interface:

Now in Dynamics 365, we have 3 new solutions:

  • DynamicsUnifiedServiceDesk
  • UiiForMicrosoftDynamicsCRM2011
  • USDUnifiedClientCustomization
