To call a JavaScript function when an HTML page loads, use the code below:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script>
function HelloWorld() {
	document.write("Hello World");
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="HelloWorld()">

</body>
</html> 

This displays:

And if using a DIV:

 

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script>
function HelloWorld() {
    document.getElementById("MyDiv").innerHTML = "Hello World!";
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="HelloWorld()">
<div id="MyDiv"></div>
</body>
